〜Unit Summary（テーマ概要）
This unit explores the different types of homes people live in and how their design has changed over time depending on the environment, culture, and available resources. Students will learn about various kinds of human dwellings, such as apartments, houses, igloos, yurts, and treehouses, and discover how materials like wood, clay, stone, and modern resources such as steel and glass are used to build them.
They will also investigate how the use of building materials has evolved—from natural resources to more modern and sustainable ones—and how these changes reflect human creativity and adaptation. Students will learn about the different parts of a house, such as the roof, walls, doors, and windows, as well as the various rooms and their purposes, including the kitchen, bedroom, living room, and bathroom.
Through discussions, stories, and creative activities, students will deepen their understanding of how homes protect, comfort, and connect the people who live in them.
