Apllication Process

  1. Visit and observe TCS (Weekday 8:30~15:30)
  2. Read the school guide carefully
  3. Listen to explanation of school information
  4. Check for availability of spaces and admission standards
  5. Apply and come for a trial day
  6. Check final administrative details
  7. Submit application form with examination fee
  8. Attend examination (another trial class attendance for examination plus interview with the school)
  9. Discuss the Green Sheet (interview with parents and the school)
  10. Notified of acceptance
  11. Submit entrance form with entrance fee → Entrance is sealed.

 

Tokyo Community School

Tokyo Community School (TCS) is a full-time micro school for children from ages 3 to 12, located in Nakano, Tokyo.
Children engage in inquiry-based learning and ICT-based personalized learning through small class sizes and mixed-aged level groupings.
TCS consists of the international Preschool which caters to children aged 3 to 6, and the Primary school which caters to children aged 7 to 12.
The curriculum in the Preschool is delivered in English, and the curriculum of the Primary division is delivered in Japanese.
As an educational non-profit organization (NPO), TCS functions as an educational think tank, performing research and advocacy surrounding curriculum development and rich learning experiences for children.
